iGuidance for GPS (though I notice there's a GPS button already) and a handful of utilities for tuning my ECU - one for reflashing, two for data logging, a real-time dashboard, and a utility that shows learned parameters in the ECU.

I haven't hooked up my CarPC to the car's speakers*, and I don't do any networking other than wifi in my garage, so I wouldn't be using the buttons for radio, music, video, tv, weather, gas.

Then again, if the phone integration works well, that might push me to finally integrate the CarPC and stereo. I really want that, just haven't seen good software for it yet.

* My factory stereo is a six-disc MP3 CD changer, so I just leave it on shuffle and my music needs are met.

Nitpicking: I'd put the back button in the top left, for consistency with web browsers.

This Theme for OpenMobile looks sweet! From what i read it looks like i will be playing with this tonight, and WILL be switching from RideRunner to this FrontEnd!. BTW I don't have a Truckputer yet....the parts should be coming in this week!

Yea but whats a more important button to find without looking....the back button or the speech button?

Also, with american automobiles (steering wheel on the left), you would be able to see what you are going back to, without your arm blocking your view. With speech, its press and talk... nothing to see.

That Camaro skin brought a tear to my eye. Had one in high school that looked like that until I hit a tree.

Good question. My first thought was 'back' in the top-left corner and 'speak' in the bottom left... but then again I like the way all the media controls are in that stripe along the bottom, and putting a 'back' button down there would disturb that. So yeah, no need to change it.

Top-left and bottom-left do feel like the right places for 'back' and 'speak' though, at least for left-hand-drive cars (other side for the UK/Japan folks). But that's not a small change, it's a different skin. Maybe put the media controls in a circle in the middle... or something... I'll take a shot at it when the skin editor gets updated. When is that going to happen, anyway?
