I'm sorry, I still fail to see the legitamacy of your posts. Posting home screens of consumer devices designed by professional graphic artists, that you feel are good interfaces means nothing to me. I designed this skin for use in a CAR. Not a microwave, or some other device meant to be used with your 100% attention. Also, I guess you didnt read the first post. This is just the media interfaces. And you obviously missed the first teaser, which showed the home-screen, which looks similar to EVERYTHING you just posted.

If you want to start on a skin. Start with the design. What do you need to know about the skinning process to make a concept design?

I like the skin, but I also want to know how to create my own. I have no programming knowledge, except HTML, PHP and very limited Java. I want to design a skin thats Namco themed.

That sounds cool. We recognize that we have alot of work to do to make the skinning process easier. We have a few projects already in motion. One of which is the JustCode project, which I can't give details on at the moment. All of these aim to make skinning and skin modification very easy. If you are interested in starting somewhere, the easiest place to start is with concepts and mock-ups. We like to use them when we look at designing the code behind our lists, and controls. We see what the skinner's need and try to add in the functionality, so its easier.

The updated 0.8 version hasn't been released yet but the first step for any type of skinning is to do a mockup in your favorite image editor...once thats done then i'm sure people would be happy to help you through the skinning process.

I'm still not sure why it took half a dozen posts to communicate that you want a more graphical main menu... or why that was different from what was posted in the first post.
