Android skin - alpha coming soon!

If anyone has been following the "Android-ish like request" thread, you'll probably know that I did take on the project, however that feels like forever ago. Since that time, I have lost and re-gained motivation I don't know how many times. I think some of that comes with not putting out any work, or working with anyone else on the actual skin (OM dev's, love your help though).

For now, I am at a point where I feel like I could use some people to tell me what they feel of the skin in it's current form. I've slowly been changing the look of things to follow a new display type of feature, so don't expect all the screens/panels/plugins to look awesome. A good bit aren't updated for the new look yet...

If some appearance issues aren't a problem, I'd really appreciate some people finally playing with it, and hearing some feedback. Would keep me going as well

Features:
- Profile system - used for: music ratings, wallpaper, color themes (any anything else wanted in the future)
- 3 Home screens, 6 menu buttons per - configurable
- Zones - all but subzones are functional atm
- Dynamic settings - settings button always available for currently displayed plugin settings
- Widgets
- Notifications

So, we'll keep this thread readily available for feedback/suggestions on the current state of the skin. Let's try to use the other thread for any general feedback/suggestions if needed.

No download link yet, trying to gauge the interest here some. I'll upload the whole thing with instructions here once I work out a few more kinks. Should be this weekend I hope!

I am definitely interested. Just waiting until we get the last little bug worked out. I would not want to confuse issues in the framework with your skin. Would make it harder to determine where the fault lies.

A dip in the motivational curve is understandable. It has take a little while for us to get to this point. But as soon as the framework is deemed solid enough, I believe interest will skyrocket :-)

Better off waiting to do a skin release once there is a stable version out? By version, I don't mean build, I mean like 0.8 was, so we don't have build 677 here with this skin, but 688 won't work, and vice versa... Is there gonna be a stable release like .8 sometime, or are you just talking about the current revision being stable? I could easily keep up with revisions, but that would be messy for others, and if a revision did have a framework bug, would be even worse...

I hear what you're saying. I'm currently using/testing the latest stuff Heezer and Borte have been working on. It would be hard for me personally to test your skin. But I do have 677 on the same machine so I can definitely give your skin some face time

Sorry for a lack of getting this out. However, I'm withholding until a suitable release build. Once one is introduced without any glaring and breaking bugs, I will put out my skin updated for that. So, until then, just be patient!
