Plugin Development Contest (Plugin devs from all FEs welcome)

Introducing the 2009 OpenMobile Developer Contest

In order to kick off development for Open Mobile, we are announcing a 30 day developer challenge. Over the next 30 days anyone is welcome to develop plugins for OpenMobile. All plugins should be posted here at the forums and/or at our online plugin repository. At the end of the 30 days we will hold an open vote to select the best plugin.

Contest Rules:

• All plugins must be submitted by 11:59PM on Jan 1
• Plugins must be 100% Free and preferably open source
• Voting will take place from 12:00AM Jan 2 to 12:00PM Jan 8

The Prizes:

• Title of "Best OpenMobile Plugin Developer of 2009"
• $25 MP3Car.com Gift Certificate
• More to be announced over the next few days (anyone wishing to make a donation send me a PM)

We also will be introducing a new skin designer with JustCode support this weekend. This allows for plugin design using a combination of VBScript and Natural Language Programming.

I might just give this a go :)

I am looking to port my plugins but not for the competition.

However I need an example plugin in vb.net if possible. (not had a look at the c one yet but I'm sure I won't understand it)

Not a problem...I'll write up one or two later today

2005 if possible as I don't have 2008 and for some reason 2005 will not read 2008.

Sorry this took so long had trouble tracking down a copy of vs2005

Yup with a few different styles... and each style has a text only or text and image format.

Example of use in vb.net plugin example?

Also looking at interaction with a OSK and NUMOSK if possible.

Also how is the button click, up down handled?

We don't have a numeric only osk yet (I can add one in in about 10seconds if you need) but the regular OSK has numbers so it should work just as well.

Button click is handled just like a button click of a windows forms control...with an event.

A clickable image is just a button with only 1 image set.

But ok sample 2 with all of that coming up...
