    Latest source download via SVN (rev 54)

    Hi Justin,

    I downloaded the latest code from SVN but ran into a couple of missing files when I tried to compile, it reported errors on the following missing files:

    - OpenMobile.Framework->Data->SQL.resx and SQL.Designer.cs

    - OpenMobile.Framework->Open Mobile.pfx

    Is this due to something that I didn't generate or some missing files in the svn commit?

    Btw: Progress is looking good!
    I tried the 0.5 release and it was working fine but some of the animations / transitions was slow / jerky when running the app fullscreen. This was especially true for the "media" panel that slides in from the bottom. I'm running it on a farly powerfull Win7 desktop so this shouldnt be caused by hw issues...

    Is there someway that I can stop it from running fullscreen?

    Cheers
    Borte

    yea the installer adds "-fullscreen" to the shortcut in the start menu, just get rid of that and you should be good.

    Also, one of the big changes to that commit and the one im doing in about ten minutes is some graphics fixes so hopefully its better. Will also make sure those files get added (and Open Mobile.pfx is dereferenced)

    Ok rev 55 is up and should have everything... One thing to note is delete the OMData file if you just replace everything (its also been deleted from the svn but idk if that gets reflected everywhere). The app will now generate its own databases when first run (and the schema has changed slightly).

    There still is an issue with the transformation matrix when rendering sliding transitions. I think I have a fix thats working but its not 100% correct so i've marked that on the "find a better way" list.

    Thanks, Got it to compile and run.

    The animations seems smoother now but at certain situations they still feel "jerky" (in lack of better words)...

    I'll play around with the code a bit to pick up on all the changes since last time I played with it (have been super busy at work so I haven't touched it for a while).

    Cheers

    Well next time i can get access to a profiler i'll run through the code and optimize a bunch but for now I haven't found an easier way other then reducing the number of frames in a transition (right now its 20fps). I think I read somewhere that if you write your own double buffer it can be faster then the one .net provides but haven't seen it actually proven or confirmed anywhere.

    I did have code that used threading to allow frames to drop but on linux it caused dozens of problems so we have to stay clear of that idea.

    Oh also, running in visual studio with a debugger attached slows things down quite a bit because it traces every single draw.

    BTW: Here is a pretty good C# SNV:IGNORE mask that I use, you might want to use this too to avoid checking in the binaries and other crap:

    *\bin*
    *\obj*
    *.suo
    *.user
    *.bak
    **.ReSharper**
    **\_ReSharper.**
    StyleCop.Cache

    There should be a property somewhere that says global filter.

    Btw revision 59 or higher should have that jerky media bar bug fixed, turns out I forgot to carry the redraw optimizations through to the slider control and it was causing the whole screen to redraw.

    Once it's applied to the tree it's there for everyone, and I don't think I have write access to the tree? Or I would put it on. With Tortoise it's just right click -> tortoise menu -> properties, then add it in.

    I had a local filter applied but now its server-wide. Good call.
