    Nav

    Any Nav support? Turn-by-Turn using google maps in some way (like droid) would be killer

    Quick question about the Button images (AKA indicators)

    have found that I can specify an image when creating the button and then that gets loaded to the form and the image shows.

    But I then don't seem to be able to change that image later on in the plugin.

    Are you using a screenmanager? if so, you need to access the button through it since the buttons are screen specific.

    If not, then any image changes should show up immediately.

    Google only allows navigation access by android 2.0+ devices-not PCs. We use other nav software such as garmin mobile pc.

    You have to follow these steps...

    Save a reference to the pluginhost (passed as a an parameter in your plugins initialize method) and then use the following code to get access to the data for each screen.
    Code:
    ScreenManager Screens = new ScreenManager(PluginHostReference.ScreenCount);
    Then to get the complete panel for the screen you're working on do this:
    Code:
    OMPanel panel = ScreenManager[screen, PanelName];
    If you want a specific button on a given panel for the screen you're working on do this:
    Code:
    OMButton button = (OMButton)ScreenManager[screen, PanelName][ControlName];
    The screen parameter is passed as an argument in most events coming from the application but if you need to do it on all screens then you have to loop the code for all available screens (PluginHostReference.ScreenCount).
    Failure is not an option...

    Thanks guys.

    I have manged to get something working for now. Might have to tweak it a bit for it to conform.

    An observation.

    The back button.

    When in my plugin if I press one of my buttons which calls up the OSK, I enter the text/number whatever and hit OK it then goes back to my plugin.

    All good so far.

    However if I then press the back button to get out of my plugin back to the main menu (I know I could just press the Menu button) it pulls the OSK back up again instead of going to the main menu.

    Well right now we count all plugins the same...so the back button is going "back" to the on screen keyboard plugin that was just loaded. We may make a special exception though and have the on screen keyboard not count in the history list. I just need to make sure that won't cause any unexpected results.

    Which version of OM are you using for developing/testing? This was a know issue in earlier version.

    Nope not that bug..... not a bug at all actually just probably not very user friendly. The on screen keyboard gets added to the history when its displayed so when you hit back it takes you "back" to the on screen keyboard. Most users would probably want back to take them to the previous panel so we will need to make sure OSK is not added to the history list anymore.

    I've marked it as a minor feature request for 0.7: http://openmobile.sourceforge.net/ma...ils&task_id=19

    PS:
    you've got mail.....ws6vert already had the first go at it so hopefully its flawless for you.

    Yeah, think that would be better.

    Also (may of asked this before) but is there an NUMOSK?

    because you have input.text and input.number but both bring up the OSK.
