    Need a quick favor

Version 0.7 will automatically scale back graphical effects based on what your hardware is capable of. In order to try to figure out where to draw the line we need some community feedback. Attached is a very simple benchmark utility....anyone who uses or has used openMobile is encouraged to give feedback (only takes a few seconds to run).

    Replies should contain:
    1. CPU Score (from the benchmark)
    2. GPU Score (from the benchmark)
    3. OM's responsiveness on your system: are the transitions smooth? mostly smooth but a little choppy? or very jerky?

If you want to include info on the test PC that would be great too but isn't necessary.

    Tested on Windows 7 nettop:

CPU: Intel Atom N270 1.6ghz, single core
    Benchmark: 111.0443

    GPU: Mobile Intel 945GSE
    Benchmark: 47.2

OM Graphics: I'd have to go with the graphics are mostly smooth, but a slightly choppy.

    Car PC:
    CPU: 113.8
    GPU: 120.8
OM's responsiveness: transition motion choppy (feels like frame-skipping option turned on for a game running on slower computers to achieve acceptable speed), but completes screen change under expected time frame.

Just to clarify...are you saying graphics are choppy on that setup?

Forgot to mention the desktop computer was running at 1680x1050 with OM filling the entire screen. Almost as choppy as on the car PC.

I tested it again at 1024x768 and it's much smoother, although it's not as smooth compared to for example, Zune HD's menu system or iPhone's UI.

    Hope this helps.
