    Good and Bad

I have good and bad news...

The good(or bad, depending on how you look at it): i am getting married in September. (thats good news, honestly)

The bad: my 1TB drive that i have all my data on...took a crap last week. so any files i had for openmobile are lost. I really need to implement a better backup plan.

The other bad news: because of the lost files, and the chaos that is my life right now, i am permanently leaving the openmobile project. it is sad, but i honestly have too. it is not fair to you guys to have me lagging behind.

i love this project, it is very dear to my heart, and will always follow it, and use it for sure, offer my input where i can, but i have to leave the development side.

thanks for including me in this project, i look forward to seeing where it goes from here on out.

    Congrats on the wedding...

Sad to see one of the main people leaving just as I found this project.

Considering my previous history of developing skins, I might look into helping out if I can.

Considering where things were last time you had an announcement I would say its great news!!

You've made a HUGE contribution to the project and it's honestly because of you that it was able to take off and become as successful as it is now (we actually have a development team). We look forward to your input in the future (if time allows) and again congrats on the wedding and best of luck in the future.

I am glad to hear that i have contributed in such a way. I am very proud of this project, and it has been an honor working with you all.

I hope to be able to test future versions of the software and give my input as time allows. Y'all like family to me, thanks for the good times.

Congratulations on getting hitched...we all gota go sometime.

How dead is the drive? I've had luck swapping electronics from similar drives and opening them up and giving the platters a little help getting started.
If the heads and platters are not damaged you can usually get it working enough to get the data off.

    Thanks for your contribution.

I thought you just broke up with your GF? now you are getting married? Is this the same girl that you are getting/got back together with or someone else? Just curious and you don't have to answer if you don't fee like it .

At any rate, congrats on this new adventure. I'm sure the OpenMobile project will miss you. Also, dead drives are a good reason to put your stuff on an offsite repository of some sort. GIT is probably one of the best because whether you lose your onsite copies or the remote copy you still have the whole repo and history in the other site to recreate it at will. Chalk it up to experience . Again, congrats!

Thanks, um...new/old girl. I dated her back four years ago, but wasnt right at the time. But i have been hanging out with her since Jan and decided that she is who i wanted to be with, so i asked, and she agreed.

I have to be honest with y'all, i never thought as making a sizable contribution...i never did any programing, just used my limited knowledge on interface experiences, and an old copy of Fireworks 8 that I got in HS, and did what i could do. Thanks.
