openMobile 0.7 is now feature complete

Hrm still can't get the HD radio to work right. I messed around with it for about a half hour or so and figured out that unless I manually unmute the line-in, the HD radio does not work at all. I think it may have something to do with the USB X-Fi sound card - the drivers are kinda strange on it. I may try disconnecting the X-Fi and using my on board sound to see if that works.

I actually thought the line in mute used in RR worked pretty well, but hey what do I know!

If I remember my XP (its been a long time) you need to unmute it as a recording device and re-mute it as a playback device (the way a clean xp install would be if rr wasn't installed).

Its just one of those courtesy things like uninstallers not leaving behind files, or programs not overwriting system files. Its probably more of a pet peeve to other developers. The big advantages an end user will notice is there is no more "pop" when the radio powers on (OMs audio system does a soft-on similar to an amplifier) and no more static when the radio is off (from a powered off radio but an open line-in).

Deleting the database and recreated it worked! I'm in the process of recreating the problem for the bug log, however since OM didnt 'technically' crash, I'm not sure what info your going to get out of it. In the meantime, I dont mind deleting the DB to add music, it IS only to add, removing works like a dream. Thanks again for an amazing product!

Is 0.7 official yet? I tried downloading the version on Sourceforge and I'm getting a crash just trying to add music to the database. I do have a "rollbackBackupDirectory" from an earlier, less baked version (even after an uninstall?), but the new one I installed with only the recommended music plugin and whatnot. This is on Windows 7 32bit. Is there a crashlog somewhere?

0.8 will probably be released in <2weeks so 0.7 official may or may not make it out.

I would remove the program directory if you have rollback directories in there (that means partial installations). There have been no reported crashes other then with the speech recognition plugin you said you didn't install. As stated here though: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/open...e-posting.html

Oh no, 0.8 is due soon? I keep planning to test OM as a replacement for my CF3.1 crapness, but if you keep releasing versions, I keep holding off to test the next one!!!

Now I have to sit and look forward to 0.8 heheheh

Tell me about it, I think I might spend the next couple of weeks looking through the skinning setup for OM, and have a bit of a play, come up with a Mazda skin, at least that will give me something to do to fill the time!!!

I'd suggest only doing picture mock-ups of screens and what not. 0.8 is going to be the beginning of our hardware accelerated versions, but we haven't caught up to that point with our skin editor. So if your interested in doing a skin, work on a complete mock-up, with the understanding that OM is not limited, we can animate and do whatever you want to make your skin as unique and functional as possible.

I think I hate you just a little bit more now....Its more things to get excited about!! LOL

Given my photoshop skills, I think that might be fine, getting icons and stuff mocked up will probably take me the longest, so I can concentrate on that for now then.
