The current plugin uses the album artist field not the album field when storing in the database...then the album field is used for the now playing media info.

Theres an OMFolderDB plugin that you could use instead of the OMMediaDB plugin that lists everything by folder name instead of tag but its currently unreleased. Whats the typical naming scheme for this kind of setup?

    Is it:
    Music Folder\Artist Name\Album Name\Song Name.mp3

Ok, I dumped 10.00 into EasyTether to enable the HTTPS portion of it. Works like a DREAM! You guys are ******* amazing. Pardon the french. When I get paid, donation to awsomeness and everyone else that uses this front end should do the same!

I have AT&T, and unlimited Data plan, how long can I use pandora with easytether before a flag goes up and I pay a huge bill? I know 5Gb is about the limit, will I hit that using Pandora on my car via phone? Unrelated I know, so I'll ask if anyone knows to shoot a PM so I dont steal the thread...

Back on topic! I'm going to send the debug log for IG3, now that I know how to submit them, so I hope that will help, I'll pm it to you guys if thats ok? Is there a specific GPS software you guys would recommend to go with this FE? Thanks again, you guys gave new life to my carpc.

    Yes the setup is Music Folder\Artist Name\Album Name\Song Name.mp3

Would love that plugin but if you guys are to busy its not important, dont want to take time away from GMPC.

Long time lurker, first time posting.... I just wasn't too happy with CF and started mucking around with linuxice, but this badboy takes the cake. Again excellent job, and looking forward to the next release.

i'll post the answer here only because I know a few users were asking the same thing. It will use just as much bandwidth as the Pandora application on your phone... just doing some rough math here actual results may vary but I would say at regular bitrate (not Pandora One) you could listen for about 18hours/GB. Although since pandora limits you to 40hours/month (i believe) you wont have to worry about it.

At the moment we haven't found anything that meets our standards... although GMPC will be the recommended Nav engine with 0.8. We are working on plans for something the community should really like but don't have anything official to announce yet.

OK thats very easy to do... (and gmpc just moved to alpha testing today so no worries there). Would you prefer we have a folder based system that still requires indexing (but would be about 20x faster to index) or a system that uses no indexing but could hesitate a bit listing all albums or all songs for an artist? I'm assuming folder.jpg is used for cover art?

I Would prefer a folder based system that still requires indexing.

I have this in my skin in Ride Runner and I find it to work better then other ways of finding my music.

just a note-- not sure how the OM ties into pandora, but on my iphone, even the free accounts are unlimited(though i think there are limited skips, and commercials):

i used to keep a spare computer at work to stream pandora until i hit the 40hr limit one month, but using the same login info, i was still able to stream pandora using my iphone app.

    Helpful hints requested

I know heezer and a couple of others have pondered this a bit, but if any other folks may have ideas on this I would appreciate it.

I have OM on a common mini-ITX board. Directed HD unit using Mitch's serial cable. Audio to the line-in, speaker output feeds the amp.

The scenario is: if HD Radio is playing, and I hibernate (IE; turn ignition off), everything will resume fine, on my station, but I hear no audio. If I then exit OM and restart OM, then Radio, I hear my station just fine. I cannot just play media (MP3s) then back to radio. I will not hear radio.

If I first exit OM, hibernate, resume, select Radio all is fine also.

What is interesting is that, if I use Mitch's HDR application, leave it running when hibernating, it will continue when I resume. No issues.

I have updated to Intels latest BIOS, drivers etc. I have also swapped in my Acer Aspire 5610 notebook and get the same issue.

Now, apparently the HD Radio functionality is working fine for others. I would like to know if any of you are using the same hardware, same connection strategy, do you hibernate with radio playing, or anything that may be different.

    Thanks for participating.

    Cheers,
    John
