I know you all keep saying that monodevelop will be supported in version 7 but is there anything i can start working on now? I am a C# developer but im moving my carpc setup to a linux environment. My developer platforms are right now osx and linux. Any update would be appreciated.
as a side note, Monodevelop rocks! By far my favorite editor (even though I do very little c# coding these days). I liked it over vanilla VS2008.
You truly do just have Linux running through your blood.

Absolutely... Our linux hal is fully stubbed out but still has some unimplemented functions:
Everything marked todo needs to be implemented as well as support for volume mounted/unmounted notifications.
There are some issues with the actual OM code on linux right now that need to be tracked down but for the most part it seems to be pretty stable.
So how is the support of V7 with Monodevelop?
I use the latest version of monodevelop and it works pretty well for me-its a shame the one shipped with ubuntu was a crippled and broken trunk release.
Only thing is you need to swap some of the plugins in the solution for the Linux versions (I have a Linux specific solution coming in 0.8). It will still run fine if you don't, you just wont have some of the good plugins like music playback.
I guess I'm a little slow... But when you mention linux versions, what are you referring too? Are you saying mplayer vs omplayer? Or are you using things from version 5?
Theres a linux version of omplayer called omlinplayer and a linux hal called omlinhal instead of omwinhal.
