The next wave of plugins! Pt 1/2

With our first wave of plugins released (pandora, XM, HD radio and DAB) we are now setting our sights on the next wave of plugin development (with this new platform now stable you can expect plugins to keep flying out at a steady pace ). The question is what do you guys want to see next? I'm allowing multiple votes so you can pick more then one-but don't go too crazy.

Anyone who sees a plugin they want to work on, or developers with a little extra time, please feel free to shoot me a PM,email, google wave or just reply here.

NOTE: I'm only allowed 10 items per poll so checkout part 2 here for the rest

aren't there other traffic providers as well? don't really know if any of the providers are better then others, but i think 'a' traffic plugin would be nice..

i have both a slacker, and pandora account(until seeing this, i forgot about the slacker account), so that really doesn't matter-- i think that both of them are pretty close in functionality-- so while i voted for slacker, i would rate it very low on the list being that you already have a functional pandora plugin..

You would think so....but at this point Navteq has bought up all the competition (afaik). They are the only ones that collect the data and then sell access to it. So its really just a matter of how we got access to navteqs traffic feed. In this case, yahoo provides free access though a well designed API so we picked them.

Aux in was on my list to do already so good suggestion CraziFuzzy lol. Should have something ready in the next week or two (or with our .8 release depending on how things time out).

so how do you envisioning the aux input plugin to work?

I was working with mitch a ways back about trying to do something in riderunner that would monitor an aux input, and mute other sources if an audio signal was detected. My particular idea was for a UHF radio in scan mode, that would mute music being played if someone was on the air. this would also work for scanners, and even portable music players. IT kinda fell by the wayside, but I'm going to try to resurrect.
TruckPC - gutted, being used for test setup
BoatPC - All in 1 in cuddy, N7 using VNC on dash, RR
    BlazerPC - Nexus 7 with Timur's USBROM

i don't think this would be auto-triggering just a selectable source.

That wouldn't be too hard to do though...just need to find a dev interested in writing it:

Hmm, had not thought about auto switching. Kind of interesting now that I think about it. Say you use an android phone as your nav, but playing music from the carpc. Could then have the music stop for the nav instructions. Version 1 is definitely going to be a manual selectable thing, but I will keep the auto part in mind for a possible v2.

I figure the Aux-in shouldn't be much more than the HD Radio plugin with a LOT of stuff ripped out.
