I've been trying to get OM running 1st on my main machine (compiling it from SVN) and then on my carputer. Neither has worked completely, although I can get it running on my main box. The error I am getting on my carputer (with 0.8 and/or compiled from SVN) is:

    mono ./Open\ Mobile.exe

Unhandled Exception: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Argument is out of range.
    Parameter name: index
    at System.Collections.Generic.List`1[OpenMobile.RenderingWindow].get_Item (Int32 index) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
    at OpenMobile.Core.Main () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

Any idea what is up with this? Also - how do you clear the DB? I haven't done anything with sqlite before, so I don't know if there's a graphical interface for it.

    Thanks

BTW: appreciate the new linux solution file (good idea) -- however, the OMLinPlayer references (specifically for OpenMobile.Framework && NDesk) aren't being setup correctly. I just copied the Framework one from the OpenMobile solution. Not sure what the proper NDesk location is (using bin/Debug/ location).
Alright the new build farm is finally online cranking out windows and linux builds... we also fixed the reference errors you pointed out in order to get everything building. Give this build a try:
    http://openmobile.sourceforge.net/ma...v262-linux.zip

see what error you get on the carputer-it should be more specific this time.

The easy way to clear the db is just to delete it. Location on linux is something like:
    /home/Username/.config/openmobile/omdata

Some information for anyone that wanders in here with the same issue as me. ws6vert is dead on, it is my drivers. The easy way to know this is to check you debug.txt file. If it says GDI Generic instead of your display driver, then you are using the cpu, not graphics for rendering. It may take some digging to find the right driver; I had the newest from the mobo manufacturer, but needed the newest from graphics manufacturer. Still working on the laptop...

Greatly excited, I got home to give the new package a try...

but it didn't go too well. 1st of I had to add a couple of files to the collection of files in the zip (ie: framework and other dll's) -- not a problem, just noting for future reference.

After getting that all setup, I end up with the following error:

Unhandled Exception: OpenMobile.PlatformException: Unable to detect any monitors on this platform!
    at OpenMobile.Core.Main () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

I have the full "debug" output if that would be helpful (it looked good/clean to me).

    Thanks again,

    Nasa

Thats what I was afraid of...for some odd reason X is reporting no monitors available with that system. What OS is it? Is it using some variant of x11 or anything funny in the graphics drivers department?

Wow, I some how missed all these updates to this thread. I can confirm the latest autobuild for linux is loading fine for me on Ubuntu 64bit 10.04 and NVidia.

OT: Is wave working for you guys? I can't get anything to come up.

I am running IVI version of meego. AFAIK, xorg and the drivers are fairly standard fare. I will get the versions of both and add them to this post.
