    Oh well...

    That's what I get for playing with the cutting edge. There's actually a lot broken, that should have been straight forward. If you're going to use navit to demo nav capability -- maybe you should be able to detect gps devices (which most distro's can do out of the box).

    Input anything using a keyboard or using the on screen keyboard? Yea the omlinplayer issues are due to recent changes with gstreamer breaking things-were working on it (hence the whole dev build not release ).
    yeah.. been watching and becomming more and more impressed. shockingly. I really wish i could claim dev status on the linux side.. but I've just been ostriching the whole linux thing for general use. Servers.. yes pls.

    it just makes sense in this capacity over windows because it can be purpose built to a much greater extent. maybe i try linuxice until I can offer some useful assistance on this front.. heh

    bleh.. i can't just give up. ha ha ha. live to learn.

    Quick question...

    With the linux version which plugins should work? Right now I have it running on my desktop and the only plugin showing up is music (which is cool).

    Weather and Contacts

    Radio including visteon/hd radio and xm is hit or miss...it should work but is untested so probably doesn't.

    i think your bug is just a weird mono reference but we can work through it in the bug tracker...just wanted to add a few more things that should be working on linux:
    * notification system (try popping in a cd or usb drive)
    * Power control (and events but your probably can't see those)
    * OSK (on screen keyboard)
    * OMDir (file browser)
    * WiFi

    Pandora should be working I just need to work on getting the packaging right-so thats tba
    The email and calendar plugins are also fully working under linux...just need skins for them.

    btw, please feel free to file a bug against the lack of mono or a lack of updated mono in meego:

    for multiple shutdown options
    * OSK (on screen keyboard) -- No sign of this...
    * OMDir (file browser) -- Works fine (checked it out when setting up music)
    * WiFi -- Linwifi, starts then crashes (crash reported at the top of the openmobile window)

    and this is why i hate linux.... theres 4 different network managers, half a dozen sound servers, 3 different versions of disk managers, theres almost nothing standardised.

    Connman's documentation states that its changing all the time...so i'll wait until their done before I consider supporting it.
