which is the best combination?
1) fedora 13 desktop +OM
2) Fedora 13 LXDE (or moblin) spin + OM
3) Ubuntu 10.10 desktop + OM
4) Ubuntu 10.10 Netbook +OM
(sorry m still in the process of finalizing the best options...will not get that much time to test all the combinations)

Hi guys, great work so far, I installed OM 0.8 on my Win7 and it is fantastic. This morning I was trying to install it on my laptop that is running Ubuntu Netbook 10.10 and ran into a problem. I launched the installer from the terminal with sudo, begin the installation, then whenever it reaches 100% an error box pops up. I attached a screen of the error. After I click ok to dismiss the error, the installer says it has completed successfully, but I am unable to run OM. Please advise!
Thank you!

I believe my linux newb is showing... But, ok thank you! That got me through the install successfully, I have to say, it was pretty difficult navigating the plugins. After crashing several times for selecting incompatible ones I ultimately just chose the default plugins plus OMDebug. Is there a list of which plugins are compatible with linux somewhere? I tried to find one on the OM site with no luck. But back to my issues, like I said the install completed successfully, I selected the default plugins and OMDebug and they installed successfully. Now when try to launch OM, I click the launcher, nothing happens. I checked the /home/UserName/.config/openMobile/ directory for a debug file, but there isn't one present. I did a reinstall, same story. Ideas?

I don't get any feedback from the terminal, but these two windows open

I noticed that OM doesn't remember the previous state of some things. Like if I have shuffle enabled or not. And maybe I missed where it is, but it doesn't remember which plugin was active when shut down.

OK, I just retried the mono command, with sudo and OM opened. I could see the GUI but it was unresponsive to commands. The terminal spit this at me:
