Thread: openMobile 0.8 Released

So today I hooked up my second display, and also tried playing a DVD movie. OM automatically recognized the second display and opened a second instance for it. It would be nice to be able to control more than just the audio sent to the second screen. Also, can I change the settings so as to not have OM open the second instance, since I only want to use the second screen for video playback?

OM recognized that I inserted a DVD and brought up the screen to play the DVD. I hit play and it showed a Disc symbol on the top of the screen, but no video playback.

I'm using windows 7 64bit.

If you want to play video you need OM running on the second screen...if not the "-screens=#" command line parameter allows you to set how many screens to open.

Yes, it is. But I'll try re-installing.

Not a problem...we usually have at least one member of the dev team watching the forums at all times.

I was wondering if there are any thoughts on this. I did not hear this noise in 0.7

The noise is between songs if I skip to next song or one song ends and the next plays without intervention.

There haven't been any significant changes to OMPlayer since 0.7... if you enable crossfading do you still get the pop?

Yes actually, I have crossfade on. Note that it doesn't happen every time. But probably 50% of the time. I cannot pin down any specific songs. The pop does not happen on my home comp or iPod Touch. It "seems" to be as the next song starts as oppposed to the previous song ending.

I've run into an issue with .8 and xport 146. Basically....if xport is running, OM will not. It flashes a few screens and exits leaving the omhal still loaded.

If I close xport, all loads fine.


Now here's the strange part....the debug.txt is empty. I was going to upload it, but there isn't anything to upload.

I'm running an Asus Atom330 ion board, 2GB ram, 320GB hdd, bluetooth, wifi, usb gps. I started out using windows 7 starter, and thought it may be something with that and then installed home premium but nothing changed. When xport is loaded, OM won't load.

Any ideas?
