openMobile 0.8 Released

OMPlayer package has been updated in the repository...this should fix installation issues on Linux (which also caused inability to play music or even get to the music skin).

Read the post right before yours...the linux music player has been updated-give it another shot and if that doesn't work post the actual error you encounter.

it still doesnt works. I dont see any error. Its just that nothing happens on the click.. do i have to enable the debug mode to see the error ?

I just grabbed fedora and tried to run it and mono just crashed...will work through some possible fixes and give you an update when a solution is available.

Can I just give a huge congratulations to the OM dev's, especially justchat, the response to bugs in 0.8 in this thread is nothing short of lightning fast!

It's really good to see customer service (Even though a free product) is alive and kicking here

Well done guys, this is why OM is progressing at such a rapid rate. You should be really proud of what you are doing here.

what bluetooth/infrared/wireless remote can be used with OM? if i am to use infrared, but can I configure it and map the keys

Pretty much any remote....you can use whatever software came with the remote, girder (google it) or in some cases just the remote itself. Theres an option in OMPlayer for "listen for media keys" that you can enable and then OM is remotely controllable.
