I'd stick to 32-bit, really. I highly doubt you will gain anything from using 64-bit in a car. 32-bit seems to be much more compatable at this point.

Why 64 bit? I would recommend 32 for now.

Hmmm. Well, I just thought it would be better. I have not put in 64bit before.

It's installing right now. I guess I will interrupt it and start again. Not a problem. I was only 15 minutes in anyway.

And ya, I suppose it's better because touch-screen drivers are probably not 64 either come to think of it.

I'm glad I looked here again while I was waiting

Yeh, I'd stick with 32 for now. There is no performance benefit from going to 64 bit for a CarPC. And it saves you the headache with improperly licensed drivers, and differences between the architectures.

I just have to remember all the little things I did for successful hibernation. I think it was under the USB stuff to not let these devices wake the computer.

Okay, I upgraded hardware. New board, chip, hard drive.

Everything is fine except now when I start OM, the line-in is playing. If I switch to music, the line in is playing. I hear radio all the time. If I go into the radio, it echos. If it wasn't obvious, the line-in is my Directed HD.

I played with audio settings. I turned listen-to on and off. No help. Line-in is the default device.

    This is a weird one.

    Any ideas/help would be appreciated.

upgrade the audio drivers? It 'listen-to' is unchecked, it shouldn't be passing through windows, so it must be enabled on the card/chip itself.

Been there, did that. It's not passing through windows, it stops when I exit OM.

    Cheers,

Start up a new thread, so we can troubleshoot this and it is documented for any later users that may have the same problems. Also, debug logs, hardware list and all that other good stuff.

Congrats on getting your stuff in. Yea, 64bit would be nice to use, but right now 32 bit is compatible with everything. You need to do a work log with pictures!
