    Help me understand OM.

I guess I am creating this thread to understand how OM works and use it to my benefit.

I am hoping the creators and or users can help me out so I can have a similar functionality as CF.

The first question I have is how do I embed programs into OM. With CF I am using a lot of embeded programs, but can not seem to figure out how to do it.

Once I have mastered that, I will ask more questions.

    Thanx in advance.

Should be available from the "Install Additional Plugins" tool as well.

Seems Hijack and I are on the same page most times with things we're looking into, well, aside from his more super-computered vehicle.

Anyhow, this among other things has been on my list to look into. Quite impressive as it's general functioning as to assigning buttons and the like are the same as what most of us are already used to. Sleek, but simple. Are there actual SDK's that can be used with say Visual Studio to work on plugins and/or skins?

RR is great with DFX, but I think this being more open and with it's benefits aside from the major one of being cross-platform native running without WINE or the like has the potential to be even better.

Why are there Embed APP 1, 2, 3? What are there differences?

Comparing this to rr is apples and oranges but yea you can can create plugins and skins using visual studio or a few other dev environments.

Exactly the same...just 3 of them. Separate plugins so you can do more then 1 embedded up...each separate..each with its own button name...etc.

So what if I wanted 10 embedded apps? I wouldn't I just add like a plugin folder in OM and clone the folders, just name them something else?

I didn't write the plugin so im not sure how it was done... I imagine we can create something that could just be copied and pasted though if theres a need.

    C:\Program Files\openMobile\OpenMobile.Framework.dll

If you're copying it somewhere else to use make sure you take OpenMobile.Framework.xml with it-that supplies the comments and descriptions for visual studio to display for each function.

Or if you don't want to install OM you can grab the latest trunk build which has those files zipped:
    http://openmobile.sourceforge.net/main/trunk/

Just an FYI thats pre-0.9 so not everything may be available if you try to the trunk version with 0.8.
