That's weird. You tried to run it with mono right? As long as you have the basic mono 2.0 packages it will work. I have not touched Gentoo in a few years but will see if I can give it a try.
Hi!
I am installing OM on my Gentoo box, and trying to configure it.
I ran the installer, but then when the configuration window pops up I can't see the buttons and so on. They're all joined in one straight vertical line.
Anyone can tell me which dependencies OM uses?
Or if there's something I should do before?
Thanks!![]()

Yup, I "think" I have all the basic packages of mono 2.0. I'll try to install an ubuntu linux in a VirtualBox to test it, but I'd like it to work on Gentoo, as ATM is my favorite distro![]()
Hi!
I installed Ubuntu and now I can use the installer. I install OM but when launching it if I click on Music it does nothing :/
Edit: after an update on Ubuntu the Music Plugin seems to work![]()

Good to hear.

For future reference, the reason for this is a failure of the NewMedia plugin to load, because the OMLinPlayer plugin couldn't load, because it couldn't find the libgstreamersharpglue-0.10.so file. The OM installer copies the libraries to /usr/local/lib, but it doesn't run ldconfig afterwards, so it doesn't know the libraries are there. Running ldconfig fixes the problem. Also, installing updates like you did will usually cause ldconfig to get run as part of the update process, which is why that solved the problem for you.

Nice, thanks for the heads up.
This change should probably be reflected in the installer, so I'll pass this along to the dev team.
