Okay after removing all the references to AudioRouter, HD Radio works in OM, mostly. There are some bugs on the radio page that I'll need to work out, but it isn't the fault of the HDRadioComm.dll. So this is definite progress!

Hmm weird. I swore someone found the the directshow or what ever they are calls were also working under linux and mono was some how making it happen. Guess that is something we need to look into more then.

That's possible. I was able to build the WindowsAudio .dll that the AudioRouter references for running on Windows. The AudioRouter.dll has some checks if running on Linux, then throw a platform not supported exception. I can replace those and force it to use the WindowsAudio implementation, and see what happens.

For the simple case I'm using, no I don't need it. The AudioRouter is needed for multi-zone setups, so it routes the audio from the line in on one sound card, and sends it to the right sound card for a particular zone. But I got it working disabling all that, and just using the ALSA hardware mixer to enable the line-in on playback.

(Actually, that was step one. After I got it working with the hardware mixer, I routed the line-in through PulseAudio, and then back out through Jack, where it goes through some LADSPA plugins for doing active crossover, and then out the appropriate audio ports for the front speakers and the subwoofer. On another note, I still don't know why OM depends on PulseAudio in the first place.)

The HDRadioComm.dll itself seems to be working splendidly, thanks! I'm in the process of working out some problems with OpenMobile and AudioRouter on Linux (the fact that the OM folks didn't implement it on Linux, but the HDRadio component of OM relies on it). I've patched around that requirement, but there are bugs. I haven't had time lately to work on it, so I've been a bit silent.

    Thanks!

All tuner/audio plugins relies on the audio router so we need to get it up and running properly on linux. This is on the todo list for the dev team.
    Failure is not an option...

The music playback plugin doesn't use it on Linux. It just uses GStreamer, letting GStreamer output to whatever audio device it's configured for.
