    ETA for .9, 1.0?

We have had an update in a while and Justin hasn't been around since middle February; which is unusual based on previous drops.

    Justin, are you OK brother?

Is there an ETA for V.next?

    Hi,

There's no eta as of now.
All of the dev team has been busy and Justin has been quiet for a while so I can't really give any dates or anything at this point. Still trying to get some hours in now and then but there's not a lot of available time so progress has been slow at the moment.

I was going to ask the same question. i havent seen nothing from Justchat, i wanted to get his feedback now that CF 3.5 has dropped, with a 3.6 update looming to fix multizone issues. OM was ahead of CI on this, but now its falling behind. In fact I cant seem to get MZ to work on OM at all, and I think its because I am using DisplayLink USB>VGA adapters.

Well, CF has a full-time development team. I think if these guys got salary for their work on OpenMobile, then we'd see progress unlike any front end before it. I love what they've done so far, I'm just excited for 1.0 to hit.

I am too. For me there needs to be a multi-zone alternative. All though by the time OM 1.0 comes out, CI may have got MZ fixed.

Yeah no eta. I have been working on a few plugins but they all require .9 Everyone has been swamped. Sure it will pick up pace again some time soon.

I have tried OM in multi-zone with one of the zones being the Diamond DisplayLink adapter, and it worked. It was a little tricky, and I didn't give a full test, but I had 3 zones going. There are a couple bugs however.

The root of all zones is audio. A zone consists of an audio adapter at minimum. From there you attach a display/keyboard/mouse to the zone.

Devlopment will pick up again, but this is (as stated above) a project on top of work and life so progress will be fast at certain times and slow at others, but progress has not stopped it just slowed down in relation to earlier progress.

There is a lot of plugins and updates just waiting for the "final touch"/debugging so as soon as that phase is over and we feel that 0.9 is stable enough to release then it will be officially out in the open.

Since multizone is big feature of OM then it has to be a fully working implementation before we release it, at the moment there's still some bugs in the setup that has to be ironed out before release.
