Ouch on a 2 hour drive with no music...

Happy to hear that a stable version is coming! I know how much programming gets done on my side (it's slow and de-motivated 60% of the time lol), and I don't even contribute to the core parts of OM. Regardless, keep up the good work!

I remember working on this project in the beginning. Helped develop the initial interface. Had plenty of conversations about UI and functionality.

So sad that this project and carpc in general has had to take a back seat for me.

Love seeing familiar names on this project thread. May the dream live on!

I think the last tricky bug was found. I expect a little bit of clean-up is all that is left.

I hate to sound like a stuck record but it shouldn't be long now. I hope those that had some nice plugins and skins waiting are still around and ready to update

Are most of the features and ground work from Justin still there?

Hi, Good to hear from you again. Some of the original people are still around and working on this project. Most of the features and ground work is still there but the code has been tweaked and altered to provide even more features and a more stable framework. That's what's been taking up all of our time since the last official release. We want it to be stable and full of working features before we release it to the masses. Nothing worse for plugin devlopers to try to keep up with a ever changing framework.

How about you? Are you getting back into the game?

I want to get back in the game, so bad. But I am producing a large concert here in West Michigan on August 24th so that is taking all my time. The only way I was able to find the time to get back on the forum was because I have been on vacation in North Carolina this past week.

I want to dive back in but I can't commit until the end of August

Well, I don't blame anyone if they think we all disappeared. I apologize for no updates since July. But really, there has not been much to tell. We have been on summer holidays, busy with work (Borte on the road with work for weeks on end), etc.

There HAS been some work going on. Mostly with the internals. Not much on plugins. The test version I am using works quite well. Some tweaking here and there would make it near perfect (in my eyes).

Hopefully we can give out something for others to play with while they wait. If the other team members are okay with it, I would like to see this version on the build server for those brave souls that want to live on the edge

Hopefully I will get a chance to chat with them over the weekend.

I haven't really said much because I am new here but as I come up to speed I hope to help add to the project.

I will be trying out things on my laptop in both Win7 and Linux before trying them out on my ARM based miniature computer and installing it in my car...

This means I will be trying to make everything work in Linux and bring everything up to speed so we have versions that work with Windows and x86 Linux and ARM linux.

Currently I have the following support hardware:

Touch screen for my ARM PC.
DEI HD radio with USB cable
GPS (BU-353-S4)
ODB to USB cable.

Once working I may try other versions of similar hardware but I wanted to setup something that should work as is.

But since I am working full time and going to school full time I have limited time to work on this stuff so nothing will happen overnight from me.. Even once I get up to speed.

I also have a Laser Projector I am looking at making into a HUD device as well..

I may also play around with a fusion brain and some other cool toys once I am up to speed.

I am in Grandville , MI which is a suburb of Grand Rapids.

Next semester it looks like I will have some GUI and user interface classes which should be fun...
