Weird, looks like it had a problem finding the list of keyboards. Have to wait for Borte to chime in as I have not studied that code since he made the most recent changes to the zone layout.
I'm not sure if I am missing any steps to install Open Mobile in Windws 7 Pro (64bit) as there is no install documentation included with the source package. I am trying to install/run OM v677. I have run the "RunThisFirst" executable (which should also have some documentation on what it does exactly, people probably aren't too keen on running random executables without knowing anything about them). After that I run the OpenMobile.exe and nothing happens.
In C:\Users\terry\AppData\Roaming\openMobile I see OMSecure, OMData, Debug.txt, and AppCrash-4-18-1-50.log
I have attached the Debug and AppCrash logs. Any idea how to fix this?AppCrash-4-18-1-50.txtDebug.txt
Borte is on the road with work and has limited internet. He expects to be home briefly on the weekend and hopes to take a look then.
UPDATE: a quick chat with Borte and he said there is not a full 'debug.txt' with enough information. The log for the entire session is helpful as it enumerates hardware, shows how OM interprets/assigns the hardware, etc. He did however ask me, to ask you if a) you are using Windows7 in a language other than English, and b) if you have an audio card installed.

I think I may have found the issue but I'll need to test further. I was using Windows Pro N x64 which has the windows media removed from it to comply with some Euro laws I believe. Even though I installed the windows media bundle afterwards I still saw this issue. I also had problems with other frontends as well.
I installed Windows Home Basic x86 and I no longer have the issue.
To answer Bort's questions, The Debug.txt log that I posted was the full file so I am guessing that there was a crash before anything else was written to it and the language that I was using was English. And yes, I did have an audio card installed.
You may be correct, and Borte will validate this when he gets online. But OM does indeed make use of Windows Media on a Windows host and (my best guess) is that could be the source of your issue.
I managed to get hold of Borte quickly, and he confirms that OM needs Windows Media for audio access.
