    Hello guys.

Big fan of this front end and probably like many, patiently looking forward to the next installment.
Assuming you fellows are taking requests, please give consideration in including an option for DAB radio (the Monkeyboard specifically). I'm sure I'm not the only one keen on that prospect.

    King regards

I'll let Borte confirm. But I believe he has worked on a DAB capable plugin for OM. I cannot speak to which specific hardware he has.

We already have support for both types of Venice radios (both slave and master) and Monkeyboard as well.
We're currently rewriting parts of the media interface so as we speak it's not available as a working plugin but they where operational before the change to a new media interface and will be again in the near future.
    Failure is not an option...

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/openmobile/

You can get to the latest posted code by clicking on the "code" link from that screen.

This may not have the truly latest code but should be pretty recent. As of the writing of this message the "trunk" has the code that is two days old...

(I am hoping to be testing out the latest code with Windows 8.1 this weekend if I have time. I am hoping to add on some new plugins as well to support some new hardware shortly that is already included in Driveline.)

Edited to add one last note:
This is the SOURCE code and you need Visual Studio 2010 to compile. There is a VS2010 Express version that is available for free or if you ask one of us we are more than willing to forward a compiled version.

If you PM me your email, I could build the latest for you. Keep in mind that it is not a release version and many bugs can be present. But you can at least get a feel for it. There would be no real (official) support at this time, except I could answer some operational questions to get you started.

I can confirm that OpenMobile runs under 8.1 in desktop. But I only have it on a tablet, without GPS so that part doesn't work for me. I will be trying a bluetooth GPS at some point that will hopefully have a driver that converts from Windows location services to a NMEA serial stream (or something like that).

Also, the touch input on the tablet doesn't work properly for me. Specifically, I have to double-tap to register a single click in OM.

I have not gone beyond those initial tests.

Ok John, My Desktops are all 8.1 now so I will be testing on that. No touch screen at this time but that is weird that you have to double click. I have a capacitive touch screen I will have hooked up to my car PC for testing. Maybe I can help figure out the problem and go from there.

I have a USB GPS and a "Sno Board" I will be trying.

I will be testing the board under Driveline since the board was built for that system and has a couple components that only work with Driveline now. Once testing is complete I can build some plugins as needed to get them to work with OM.

My HD radio and GPS worked great under windows 7 so I expect them to work fine with Win 8 as well.
