Also, the touch input on the tablet doesn't work properly for me. Specifically, I have to double-tap to register a single click in OM.

I have not gone beyond those initial tests.
If you connect your tablet to a BT GPS device, it "should" show up as a BT comport. The GPS won't automatically provide information to the windows Sensor platform, there will have to be some intermediate driver (like GPSDirect) to perform that function. You can also use GPSDirect (with its associated app) to connect your phone GPS to your tablet via WiFi. (Google GPSDirect for more info).

Wow, I had never really priced out a BT GPS device. They're pretty proud of that stuff, huh? $90-150 on average. Crutchfield, Amazon etc.

Your test results will be interesting. Keep in mind that the tablet touchscreen interface and Dell driver may be different that what you hook up.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind and try to test that out. Better than buying another device.

I ran it on my Desktop without any major issues.

My GPS device kept loosing its fix and once it did it seemed like it was lost. If I exited OM and went back in it would pick up the fix right away so I am unsure what is going on. It appears others are having the same issue so we shall see.

The plugin setup screen was not scrolling smoothly. It would keep jumping backwards so you could never get to the bottom or the top if you were scrolling.

While I was using it the screen shifted up a few pixels that were only fixable by exiting and restarting.

If I went from window mode to full screen the interface locked up. I had no mouse control at all. I had to use task manager and dump OM in order to get my mouse back.

The items on the screen kept disappearing too which was annoying.

Apparently there is a slight issue with the screen I ordered so I am still working on it. If I am ok with 1024x600 I could have the screen in a couple days but I am still interested in 1200x800 so I can match Win 8 minimum screen size.

Other than that it was looking pretty cool. I might change the background on mine though for fun.
