The same database used for this project will be accessible as an OSDash webservice.
At this point we have quite a few more codes then obd-codes.com (which is all protected by copyright) although were lacking in the troubleshooting steps area. Almost every DTC a modern car throws is manufacturer specific so VIN and DTC databases combined can be very useful for automating everything.

Just tried it. I entered my VIN, it told me where my car was made, year, make, model information.
That's what it is supposed to do. Verify that it is giving the right information. If it is not, then post up and edits can be made to make it more accurate. I know that when I was doing GM that some models got very confusing. It's spot on for my Trans Am. ha![]()
i cant get it to open it crashes strait away![]()

Has there been any progress on this recently? I tried to go to the project's sourceforge page, but it didn't work. Is there anywhere that I can grab the source?

This is exactly what I am looking for to record data for my 2009 Prius. I haven't found any commercial software that is capable of reading and recording a customizable combination of parameters (some of which Toyota hybrid specific) from multiple ECUs. I was even thinking about writing the software myself. What is the current state of development? The files on
http://openmobile.svn.sourceforge.ne...jects/openOBD/
all seem pretty old (9 ~ 10 months). Thanks!
