I just read an article on a Norwegian site, about this new and "awesome" product called Diskeeper. (http://www.diskeeper.com/).
In short, it's a real time defragmenter, keeping search times to its minimum...
I realy can't see the big use of this, unless one have everything on one drive... Personally I have allways one system drive, and atleast another drive for everything else than system. (And we're talking pysical here, I allways have two pysical drives).
And with SSDs.. don't even know if it's possible to defragment them?
Well.. It's probably possible, but don't think it really matters any..

Diskeeper has been around for ages.
Search for Disktrix, and see why they claim it's better.
Personally, I have my doubts about the 'physical' placement of data. My desktop PC uses 2 drive RAID stripe, yet Disktrix apparently assigns my 'performance' data to the outer, faster spinning sectors of the 'disk'??
I imagine it does the same 'illusion' with a partitioned drive?
Anyone have good hard evidence, like maybe time your boot/hibernation times before and after defrag?
Ive used UltimateDefrag by Distrix multiple times with different settings and I have yet to notice any noticeable difference. I dont even bother defragging my carpc anymore because system performance feels the same, regardless of defrag.
Diskeeper has been around since the NT4.0 days, and possibly before that.
Microsoft licensed their basic defrag engine and incorporated into every OS since Win2000.
You should never defrag an SSD, period.
SSDs have a limited number of write cycles. IT has to do with the physical properties of the flash memory. Defragging involves lots of disk writes, so if you defrag your SSD, you are shortening the lifespan of your pricey SSD.
In fact, it is recommended that you turn off the automatic defrag that is done my newer versions of Windows (Vista and Win7... Not sure about XP) if you intend to use a SSD for this very reason.
If boot data is placed on the outer edge of the platter, then it should load faster. More data can be read at a given speed the farther out you go.
Having never used diskeeper, I can't speak for their claims. But if they did this, and I suspect they do. You would see an increase in boot times. But only on conventional drives. SSD's don't have this problem.
