To disable the logon at startup, go to START > RUN > CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2
Highlight the user you want to automatically log on as and uncheck the "Users must enter a user name and password..." option
When you click OK (or Apply), you'll be prompted to enter the password for the user you highlighted. Enter it, and never see a logon screen at startup again.

Also, make sure your screensaver isn't password protected as well. That's done in the display properties on teh screen saver tab.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

In addition to DarquePervert's post. you can use Microsoft's TweakUI for auto-login.
