    dude... just go to your mobo manufacturer's website and download the bios update. that's all there is to it.

    There is no middle ground. The bios info on your site WILL spoonfeed you everything because bios updating is so risky. It's noy hard. jus tmake sure you have a good stable PSU and no dodgy problems with your PC like an IDE cable that comes lose every now and then. and if you do it from floppy use a new one or one you know is good and nicely freshly formatted.

    ok im looking at this motherboard, and i dont know what im posed to be looknig at to get the info i need for the motherboard . what am i looking for? serial numbers?

    Hi There
    Try to find something like the manufacturer or model number.
    the model number often looks like a combination of some letters and numbers which are usually written in bigger letters on the board than the rest.
    An alternative would be to look at the POST-Screen if there is something like a number.

    Third way (and obviously bestway) make a nice picture, post it here and let the others do the work

    Hmmm yeah - and the best way to get ignored, best way to do it is take the cover off the PC and look at the model numbers on the motherboard itself.
