    Making bootable cds

IS there any free software out there that will allow me to make a bootable cd? All the trials I download give me like a 300MB limit.

All you need is a bootable floppy (available from various sites ont he internet, or make your own) and a quality CD-buring software like Nero or Roxio.

I have an ISO image for a bootable CD that allows you to add files that you may need to access once you've booted toa DOS prompts.
    PM me if you're interested.

Sorry for thread hijacking but somehow related.
I also want to know how to make a bootable disk that boot directly to Norton ghost and restore the ghost image in case the carpc HD take a dump.
All automatic without user intervention like typing command or the such. I did it once but the darn thing didn't work.
I remember something like creating a batch file for ghost command for restore process. Modified another file to have it detect the correct CD/DVD drive letter. .... Any input?

If you have edonkey. download this.
If not, get edonkey 1st, then download this LoL.

its an awesome utility and has saved my butt many times. and has helped fix many other peoples CP problems.

    *************************************************
This is the latest and near certainly the last version of my Utility CD that is designed to fit on an 8cm 210MB CDR/W and thus in my wallet. It requires the use of Nero 6.6 or later to burn using the 'Enable generation of short lead-out' feature. It is Bootable and there is a DOS Menu that includes ERD Commander 2005 and mutiple other utilities. There is also a Windows Menu with over 90 utilities on it.

Version 6.4 has the ability for McAfee AV to update itself and run from the Windows Menu. Some of the original utilities have been updated.
The Ad-Aware, Anti-Virus, Unknown Devices definitions and also McAfee Stinger are all up to date.

As usual apologies for my slow upload speed as I only have 128 KB/s.

Any comments about the CD and suggestions for improvements are most welcome.

the ultomate boot cd is also awailible online, and it's free.

    http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

I used this mostly, but i have to look into automation. This is another site that is pretty interesting. You can make your own recovery cd for your pc like them rich ms folks do.

    http://unattended.msfn.org/

    good luck.

    Peace,

    BND

Nice alternatives to the old boot floppy.

I use BartPE for emergency boot stuff. However the old disc I made only has the basics, no browser, and no SP2. It's a lot of work to make, but very nice to have.

Since we're on this topic, does anyone have (or a link to) an ISO of a complete (or at least all the good stuff) BartPE install?

    Cheers,

    Kris

another edonky download then for you

This is a prebuilt version of the Windows PE boot disks that you can make, Just burn this iso to a cd, and you can boot any pc from this disk into a Windows PE environment (Basically Windows XP on a CD) with lots of tools. Brilliant!
Here is the Site for reference. http://www.ubcd4win.com/

This obviously enables you to get at the drives, do any repairs even on servers (NTFS). scan for viruses from a known clean boot. Get at .SAM files etc.

Took a bit of effort to build up, so I thought I would just let you have the Pre-Built ISO Image, just need to burn it to CD with any CD burning software.

The Latest version is much better than the older one, it also contains more drivers, so it now recognises my network cards and even my SATA Raid card and drives!

Windows Ultimate Boot CD UBCD 2.5 with driver addon 1.2 ISO Universal Boot Disk.rar (131.62 MB)

copy and paste the below into edonkey to get the file
