    Question for Gurus

Hi All u Gurus and Experts out there.
Just have a question for u..if u can PLS help me out..
Ok i have this PC with me on which i installed a GPS map Software.
The code is given by the company on the net which i did BUY and evey thing worked fine..
Now i have UPGRADED my HD and so it has a FRESH install.
the software works on MACHINE CODE.. whos code i got from the co.
noe for some reason the CODE is different from the one that i had on the previous HD..
Is it nt soppose to remain as the same cod as long as i am using the same MOBO and CPU. Its only the HD that i have changed.

Is there any way that i can MODIFY the MACHINE CODE so that i can continue to run this software with the registration code that i recieved

thanx for all ur help in advance

You need to contact the company, some softwares change their registration key when you do a different install.. the company should be able to ive you the correct product key based on your current code.

do you know what your old machine code was or even your old hard drives serial key ( I think thats what it is called )

As far as I am aware there are apps out there that will change info like that but as to how advisable it is, is a different story.

www.pscode.com have vb examples at least ( vb 6 that is )
