512MB or 256MB (need to cut down hibernation load time)
VIA EPIA MI12000, 40GB Notebook HDD, External SB Live USB, 7" Touch Screen. Memory 512MB. Windows XP SP1 with no update, Front-End Road Runner, Media Player Classic, Winamp 2.9, NJWin (for Chinese Character), Click-N-Type on screen keyboard, Garmin nRoute GPS.
That is pretty much my config. It takes about 30+ odd sec to boot and if I hibernate it may take about 25 sec to boot from hibernation. After the screen memory of 64MB I would have a balance of 448MB to reload when I wake up from hibernation. So if I were to drop down to 256MB it would take very much less time to read 256MB.
My question is 256MB enough for CarPC applicaiton, RoadRunner + Winamp + GPS running. I would like to test but I only have the 512MB and need to purchase a 256MB I wish to test.
