Well the way it is setup now it just opens CoPilot, and I get handles to all of its subwindows(like the map window) Which I can then embed into my app, and send messages to copilot so that I do not need their buttons. I am not sure if it works the same for CoPilot 7 as I do not have a copy of it to test. But this method works well with 2003. If you can get me a version to test with, I can see if I can write this in also. It can't be that different, other than different window names, etc. Let me know,

I can integrate pretty much whatever. I just personally do not use weather or traffic reports that much now. So if you could provide me with some good sites, etc to pull data from I will look into it. Also how you plan for it to be implemented.

Are there any plans to include any OBDII integration or other car specific controls (windows, locks, etc.) down the road?

What are you designing this in?

What OS will it work under?

I have not really thought too much about OBDII... not really sure of all the stuff useful you could do with it. I am sure there is plenty, but I have never had one of the scanners to play with to see what all the codes were. I do have plans later on to integrate one of the relay boards(WizardPC's idea). The app is designed with Visual C++, and uses DirectX API for all of the UI stuff. The video player is just DirectShow, that I use to render to Textures in the app. So it supports all codecs, that you have installed. OS should work for all Windows... tested under Windows XP.

The end of the semester is coming up, so I am pretty busy with other stuff, but I hope to have a pretty close to finished version by the first of December.

What about radio tuner support? Like with a Hauppauge card?

Is this going to be free software? Would you support other people adding features to your software?

Yes, I have radio support also. I have the D-Link USB radio right now. So I am not sure about the Hauppauge card. It will be free software. I definately have no problems with other people helping me out either...

I must say I am impressed and anxiously awaiting the release. please let us know of a beta release asap. this is what I have been looking for
