The volume does work, my mistake.
As far as the focus issue, thats what it is. The music button seema to stay focused unless changed w/ the arrow keys.
How do we change skins? just replace whats in the skin folder?
I take it Gamma and settings havent been emplimented yet.. such as default folders for like videos and Music as well as and links to apps?

Yup, to change skins, just replace the files in the skin folder with your new skin files.

Nope, no settings yet (except for location of your media files). The program doesn't differentiate between audio & video files. If you add a video to your playlist, it will play fine and you can view the video by clicking on the eye button or clicking on video from main menu. I like this better than having separate audio and video playlists.

Regarding links to apps, is this just a matter of setting it up so that if a user clicks on a button, an app launches? Should be very easy to do.

Anything in general you'd like me to work on/fix NoPistonPC? I've browsed through the source and I'm glad to see a high quality coding job (as opposed to a lot of c/c++ code you find on the web)

No luck with windows version. I downloaded the dll files elsewhere because NoPiston's links were down. I'm getting the following error-
The procedure entry point_iob_func could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCR70.dll.

For those working on the project. I suggested re-using Medicar's launch .INI setup. It would be easier for those who would like to re-use our mediacar launch setup.

Also, I'd like the ability to click a button on the main menu and link it to an application.. ex.. rearview cam application.

Also, clicking a button on the main page would take you to an optional page w/ more buttons. ( I use my apps launcher for Emulators, and would like to have another one for my wardriving apps.

    Great Job so far!

Downloaded the dll and fired up the program. It built the database, and the program loaded up. When I went to play a song I couldn't browse to the drive where the music is (program on c: mps on d: so I exited the program thinking I just restart headunit.exe. Now I just see a dos window with the following line repeating over and over-
    ASSERT: "FALSE" in kernel\qtextengine_win.cpp (698)

But this is in fact a new and seperate application. If another programs .ini file is used then this project is nothing but a clone of that project and thus limits it. On the other hand, a seperate application could be written to convert mediacar's .ini into headunit configuration format when that is decided on.

Adding custom buttons to the main page would be tricky because of the lack of free space but its very possible to add them to the "Apps" tab. The apps page could utilize user created images for your custom application or just text (if you don't feel like creating or finding an image)

Naaa, not adding custom buttons, but for example the radio app button in Media car. I want to link to a Rear view cam app, not the radio, only because my radio card isnt supported, and the button is useless.

See, all I did was re-skin it. Maybe add commands to the .SKIN to call an app specified in an INI?
