It may be poor security to login as administrator but you have to be an administrator to have access to the registry which you most likely would want. Yeah you can create a new user but in XP you are going to have to make them an admin anyhow for most programs. You could give them access to the Power Users group but that still barely guarantees a functional program. In Vista they have changed the user security to be more friendly. Furthermore take into account the environment... an automobile... Most likely not to be the attack of a real hacker and if someone were to steal the car they can simply use a program like ERD to reset any of the users passwords. So really your not gaining any security not logging in as an admin... Now if this were Linux.... well then it could be useful but EVEN THEN you could simply load the boot loader and reset the password from that.
