I would be easy to add, seeing as the program can already reread a database. I would also need to add extra sections for preset cameras for each country in the ini. Hmmmmmmmmmmm

The update function worried me at first. I saw the red dot but it never did anything. On my dev machine, I let it sit for over an hour after the red dot appeared, saw some internet activity, but it stopped pretty quickly. I realized later that it was done; but for some reason I was expecting the dot to turn green. I also (after some playing around with the DFX skin) realized that I had to completely exit the skin before the new database was recognized.

Ran the update on my other 2 CarPCs, no problem. Great work!!!

Thanks for the new version. Its great. Everything worked perfectly until I started to mess.
I'm trying to skin it in 800*480 but everytime I go to search I get a clip region boundry error. This is using the original .eskin but smaller jpgs.

Any help would be greatly appreiciated.

So what exactly does this do?

I'm going to take a guess and say it uses your Wi-Fi connection to get on the internet and stream media from live webcams you click on relative to your region. That right? So you need the internet?

You don't have to exit the skin for th enew database to be recognised, just click the red dot. Does mention this in the readme

Have you changed the skin size in the ini file, the ini file in the skin folder takes precedence

It downloads still pictures at intervals set by the user in the ini file. I haven't managed to utilise streamed cameras yet.

with the static ones updates vary from site to site, some as quickly as a second, others take 5 -10 minutes before they update, all depends on the supplier.


And yes, you need a live internet connection

Yeh. I had changed the skin.ini. I've attached my skin directory along with the trafficcams.skin I've made. Could you have a look please (and possibly add it to your install ).

Ok, you need to change virtually all the button positions in the search eskin to match what you have as a jpg, also the listbox doesn't match up, you need to change that as well. Make sure that at no time y position plus height exceeds your declared skin height. Same applies to x position and width.

I guess I should put in some error checking for that.


*edit and another thing the cameras on the main screen are squashed and go of screen so you need to check those as well. And I have no idea where the exit button is on your main screen either.

My screen exits from another button on the trafficcams.skin. I'm using the Freedom ultimate skin which has a music bottom bar with an exit button.
Think I've sorted the squashed bottom cameras but have a problem with my search skin still. The up button doesn't work until I've used page down and the button area doesn't seem to match the coordinates I've put in the skin.
Could I trouble you to have another look. Thanks again. Its greatly appreciated (and I've checked I've attached the correct version this time)

Ok, I've had a look, and found out the up button doesn't work on the first page and the down button doesn't work on the last page (both now fixed for next update) due to me not coding it. I knew there was something I meant to go back and finish.


As for your button not in the right place, still looking. (edit, OK sussed what that was. Also fixed)

Any chance of adding the Louisville, KY cams from page 7 of this thread? I would really like to add your plugin to my carpc as traffic is a *itch in the mornings going to work.
