It's probably best you download the latest 1.19 version.

It seems your firewall is causing a problem with the automatic updates.

OH and you set the refresh time of the cameras to over 27 hours.

    Which cameras?

ie what location are you getting them from and which country?

I guess Italy, and the only ones I saw they had a small snap shot of about 4 secs (1 frame per second). Unfortunately because they also change the file all the time I can't use those at the moment.

    "cam3.jpg:
This GIF image has the incorrect file extension
". But this is not your problem.

Because of the many different ways that sites operate their traffic cams, and also the potential resource hog I have had to make a few decisions.

The way the program basically works is to download an image from a specified URL, most of the time these are static images which can be updated(refreshed) on the website anything from every second up to 20 mins or even more.

Because different sites have different times there is a setting in the inifile to change how often the program checks for a new image. This can be set as low as once a second.

However because there is anything upto 18 cameras being monitored, by the time each url is checked and the image is downloaded they may not update every second.

Also the more often you update the more processing done by the CPU, the more data is downloaded, so it is kind of a trade off.

I could look at using a browser window for each camera that works like the one you posted but then it will take up more resources and not be a skinnable or nice looking.

BTW the image you posted is just a few frames in a gif, not sure if it 'live'

At the risk of asking a noob question,, does this Traffic cam application only work with a front end program like RR or iDrive? I don't use a front end so I wondering if I can use Traffic cams.
