are you running IE7 or IE6?

    you can try running

    regsvr32.exe C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSINET.OCX

    from the run command.

I've tried it on IE7 and IE6 , 2 different computers, it seems the MSINET.OCX file is not installed anywhere on my PC's.

I found a copy online, i was able to register it, and get trafficams.exe started.

I modifed the ini file to change country to US, program starts , now i guess its a matter of learning how to use it. It seems to be getting cams from another country, the display is not centered, so I can't see everything and presumably menu options.

Press the magnifying glass, that will take you to another screen where you can select which cameras you want to view on the main screens.

Im getting the same thing. I had Cams running successfully on the old ver. upgraded to this one, loaded all the cams and evrything looked good. X out and loaded cams back up and received that same message.
If you cant DODGE em, RAM em.

OK have realised what that is.

I added something for different types of cameras and and didn't realise that that does get registered. Will add that to the register.bat I guess.

    in the meantime try

    regsvr32.exe C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSINET.OCX

    or

    regsvr32.exe C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MSINET.OCX

The way the program basically works is to download an image from a specified URL, most of the time these are static images which can be updated(refreshed) on the website anything from every second up to 20 mins or even more.

Because different sites have different times there is a setting in the inifile to change how often the program checks for a new image. This can be set as low as once a second.

However because there is anything upto 18 cameras being monitored, by the time each url is checked and the image is downloaded they may not update every second.

Also the more often you update the more processing done by the CPU, the more data is downloaded, so it is kind of a trade off.

I could look at using a browser window for each camera that works like the one you posted but then it will take up more resources and not be a skinnable or nice looking.

BTW the image you posted is just a few frames in a gif, not sure if it 'live'
Ok, so the cars should not move in rr. Only refresh pictures when downloading a new one.
Anyway, I found this, http://www.quattroruote.it/telecamere/index.cfm for a few italians cams,Hope the codes are good.

whats the proper screen resolutions settings for lets say a 8" Lilliput monitor running at 800x600. The Trafficams display is getting cutoff on the right hand side.
