You'll find my review here of this excellent software here http://www.digital-car.co.uk/forum/s...ead.php?t=6539
OK - Now thats done this is my thread for my project to create a frount end for this application in a simular vain to Freedrive.Features
Offroad-Navigation - Save and Load tracks for navigation in not digitalized area (eg. forests, private tracks)
Interface to give the target or target-coordinates to the program with instant start of routing by help of a file?
Able to show customer-defined targets in the map
Return of GPS location (enables tracking of cars)
Individualite the shape and position of the program window
German, English, Italiano, Dansk, Greek, Nederlands, Suomi, US-English, Francais, Portuguese, Norsk, Turkce, Espanol, Sverige, Cesky, Vlaams
Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Czech, Denmark, Finnland, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Greece (only Athen), Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Ireland, San Marino, Slowakei, Slowenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Vatican
Only problem is I dont know where to start or which of the languages is best how ever I have a pretty good idea of how it should fit together.
So in that vain I will try my best to create some thing to use this app better than it is now & with help from you guys ( hopefully ) with code etc using the SDK at the top I may get some where.
I see this as a bit of a community project and if it gets some where then may be you guys will use it and buy the application ( like you should do any way ).
Any way - thats the start of it - comments please ?
fook me its a bit pricey!!!
You can buy a TomTom one for less than that now
And plug it into the PC, and use something like Tomtom home to view and control the TomTom on the screen of your carpc.
Now thats a thought!
It is a bit pricy but the maps and interface looks better too....
Right - been looking at the SDK... looks like C++ is the way to go as its got a truck load of functions.
Its a hell of a lot of money though Terran, especially when there are numerous dedicated GPS boxes out there which cost less and they include hardware.
Realistically, they need to have the price down to below £100 before I could see myself buying it.
They might even sell more copies then, who knows? Economies of scale if you like.
