great idea - I'm going to try it out as soon as I get home from work. This will work with any frontend you want?

Yep. I thought about monitoring for standby etc etc but decided the simplest, most effective way was to have it launch in the startup folder, 'in between' the front end.Originally Posted by SnyperBob
That way, I just hit the reboot button when I want access control up, and while it's on that screen it records whatever until the right code is punched in.
It uses AutoITX automation for reliable startup of the front-end.

I’m also very pleased if you build in an video (WFM etc) record method.
Not that my volvo 340 is an expensive car hehehe, but I like to make an security mode. I've build an camera inside the car for taking snapshots from the passenger & driver sides.
So an integration to record snapshots or video stream would be perfectly.
thanks in advance dude !
OK, I really like this little program but I have some feedback.
Can you make a variable in the ini file to disable audio recording? It's a great feature, but I don't have a mic in my car. I have tons of wav files, that are blank cause don't have a mic.
Also, if you plan on adding any further features, like video or whatnot, could you also put variables in the ini file to disable this as well?
I'm basically interested in just using it as an interface for keeping unwanted people from accessing my system after startup. Perhaps if/when you can do video, I may use that to record action in the car.
Let me know what you think about the ability to disable recording. Thanks again - very useful lil app - and skinnable too!

Can I suggest two things?
1) Can we have the ability to disable recording while on the front screen?
2) Can we be able to specify (I guess in the .ini file) where to save the .wav files?
Here is a way to implement #1 as a suggestionOriginally Posted by Shotty
Access control launches at boot. Then someone types in the correct password and audio is disabled! and the Front end shows up
Then if someone does want audio they just boot normal and it records audio.
Or there is a code that once typed in it disables audio record , but does not allow acccess.
Just some thoughts.

I'll change it so you can set in the INI whether to record or not, but I won't put a button to disable recording on the screen as this would allow the intruder to stop themselves being recorded, and if they know they are being recorded the may damage the equipment.

Stevieg, im trying to build an skin, and i run into one problem, ho do I get the right numbers in the INI file that marks the places of the numberbuttons?
I mean the marks like:
NumberWidth=94
NumberHeight=94
OneLeft=377
OneTop=47
