iGmod Beta 2 release

If thats what your talking about, then there is no way ATM that I know of. PurDoom is working on this I belive in the new release.

You have to either use the configuration tool I made:
http://igmod.iamjeremy.com/iGmod3/Config%20Tool.rar
to edit your CFX skin, or edit the exectbl.ini in your CFX folder to reference iGmod. my exectbl file looks like:

/** Path to iGuidance
"iGuidance_Fullscreen","LOAD;external_gps_full.ski n;RUN;C:\Documents and Settings\Brian\Desktop\capture2\iGmod.exe;--iGmod Reloaded--"

Great!! thanks. That worked perfectly. That igmod config tool is great. I cant wait to use the new skin your making and the new features of igmod preview4.

hey purdoom,

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but i seem to have some issues with igmod if i don't close out before switching between menu items. I get an runtime error 480 (cant create autoredraw image) when i load igmod and then switch around between left hand menu items. I just tried it right now and was able to recreate the crash by switching ~20 times between the GPS menu item and the others like music...apps etc.

It seems it doesn't like to run in the background

Yea, I somehow introduced that bug between one of the releases. The autodraw problem shouldn't happen in the copy I have right now, but the switching with menus open is still a bug.

man, I'm so confused by what's going on here. I've got iGmod2, but I like the looks of what's going on in this thread. Is there a post that describes the latest available version for download? I've been left behind as work has been really crazy lately...

Yeah here's a quick catch up. Basically Purdoom is working on an update to properly embed iguidance into some skins, and right now he's working on the CFX for roadrunner. It's looking really nice and he seems to be pretty open for suggestions and is looking for input. It's actually a pretty quick read through the thread.

Purdoom, I got my computer up and running and am getting ready here to perform a transplant. Got any word on an ETA? Thanks man

followup to mushai:

Beta 2 was supposed to be an example of screen capture, which turned into an example for embedding, which turned into an example for embedding and skinning iguidance, which became igmod. Because it went through so many transformations and ghettoness rushed coding it turned out like crap and had more bugs than a rotting cow carcass.

Anywho, beta 3 is rewritten from scratch, has a completley rewritten skin, and has been designed from square 1 to eliminate all of the glictches plauging v2. It runs faster, looks sexier, and has some wicked skins being made for it. And it'll have an installer and a real basic skin editor for you to screw around with.

The front client is real close to being done, but I really really don't want to put out a copy of it until I think it is a "complete" product. In the mean time, you can use the version in my signature line, but it 1. doesn't add/remove favorites entries well, b. doesnt have the CFX skin, and III. is missing a few cosmetic features.

Hey I completely understand. And I think I speak for the community as a whole when I say its very much appreciated that your taking the time to work out the bugs and come out with a solid release. Can't tell you how often I download things only to think it should have been a beta. Come a week later I'm downloading patch after patch after I've beaten the damn game! (Halflife 2 anyone?)
