Good luck on the new coding.
I know most people do not want a program bar on the top of the window. I think it would be very cool if it could be an option to have a title bar as an option in the skin file. For people that do not use a front end.
Thanks

Be aware that the windows names changes with the language chosen in the installation process of IG Europe.Ill set up an environment where I can easilly test both of them later today.
The reason I did that is the title bar screws up alot of my calculations that want the window to be a certain width and height. But that doesn't mean I can't do it... I'll look into that.I know most people do not want a program bar on the top of the window. I think it would be very cool if it could be an option to have a title bar as an option in the skin file. Glad to hear everything is coming along nice, I have another request, can you make a single address input screen that can allow the user to just type a full address in and then have igmod put those into the proper sections in iguidance? I don't know why iguidance took the approach it did to address input (page for everything), but I assume most people know full addresses when they input it, so why is there a need for aided, page-per-page input? I guess the only issue would be if the user doesn't enter in a valid street, city, or state so perhaps a confirmation screen option would help....I dunno, I don't code so it could be too complicated, but it would definitely be easier then how we currently enter in an address.
Also, I think I mentioned this before, but as DaPCWiz said, a searchable POI database would kick *** cause as it stands now, I don't even use iG's POI thing. I think I might have fiddled with it a 4 times max since I got the software but the damn thing has too many menu screens that I could get online and google it before I found what I was looking for.

You would loose the ability to get a road name/city name preview if you did it that way. Ill leave that option up to the user on a skin toggle. (There will be a configuration tool included for swicthing features on and off in skins).Originally Posted by gizak
If I knew how to search the POI database, i would be all over it. All I really think the POI should be is "nearest (businessname)" and "nearest (business category)". I have no idea how to do that, but I have some time to think about it. Does anybody know the format for the iguidance POI file?

Purdoom, I remember you said a while ago that you were able to write code that extracts and saves POI data from superpages.com to a local database and later searches it from iGuidance, right? Will that be included in the new iGMod?
Also, I asked this but am not sure if you plan on implementing. The idea is that anytime iGuidance switches to the "guidance" screen, an event will be raised so that we can switch our front end temporarily to GPS mode. (Then after the guidance screen goes away, it'll be switched back to the previous screen). A Girder event would be great so it's not front-end dependant.
Thanks for the hard work, dude.
