AFAIK the sample apps were broken, no documentation, the sdk just crashed when anyone tried to use it in an app....

One poster said he had a new version but didnt post if it worked...

Because it is a very high level language, more powerful and complex than the prehistoric VB. I hope that always more program will be done with .net... It is the future for sure (Vista should be almost entirely based on .net 2.0)

Don't worry, as soon as someone will be able to get PN working I will implement it immediately in my GaroNav (this is one of the priorities)!

However, if someone knows how to enable/disable voice prompts with Destinator SDK PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO DO IT!!!

After all, that 60px business it's not solved yet. I'm still investigating but AppControl stays hiden under GaroNav and the Destinator map windows gets bumped to the right. I thing that has something to do with the Epia vga drivers.

The only way to set the GPS com port is with the original Destinator window?

Any other app that I have installed (Freedrive, Mapmonkey, VisualGps, Netstumbler, Compass etc.. ) shows all the com ports, including xport3 ones, but the destinator dosn´t.

I'm almost sure that it is a comma issue ... Try to edit the GaroNav.exe.config file and subsitute all the "." with ",".

Example:

<add key="HomeLatitude" value="45.55982" />

Become

<add key="HomeLatitude" value="45,55982" />

Let me know if this is the problem, I'll fix it immediately...

Garo, one thing I remember that I requested in FD... Here I request in GaroNav

An option to select some words that get "reversed" in the street label, SDK label to RR... for example:

my map shows:

Brasil AV
Europa AV
Turquia R
Max Feffer TUN

However this is "reversed"... the "correct" way of looking at it would be:
AV Brasil
AV Europa
R Turquia
TUN Max Feffer
etc

Would it be possible to add these "street types" in an option file somewher such as "R,AV,TUN,VD,AL,etc,etc,etc" and have it reverse (only when showing current street, etc.... not when choosing the street to navigate to)

I'm looking just now into garo nav, will post more ideas/suggestions soon! So far looks good... I'm trying to find out how to hide the zoom bar right now...

Garo, few big problems I noticed...

- When clicking on NUMBER to input the house number, GaroNav locks up for upto 15-20 seconds while loading the numbers list.... (P4 2ghz 1GBram) is there any way to optimize this? It works very quickly to load list of streets (over 45000 in my map!)

- Problem that occured with earlier versions of FreeDrive.... I input one address it routes me to a completely different place

The only way CDR was able to fix this in the end was by embedding the original destinator street dialog

I could send you a debug log if it would help, and also my map for you to test if it would help... I'd love to give GaroNav a spin, but it is a bit useless for me if it cant route me anywhere

Overall it looks great though! cant wait to get over these issues if you can

EDIT: POI navigation seems to be OK
