Fixed save issue and uploaded swf version
exe version is also updated!!!!

Currently this version Supports All frontends via the .exe version
I will need some feedback from other frontend users as to the size (pixelwise) to make the exe for those frontends
when i have that completed this thread i will request be moved to a different location on the forum

Install:

Unzip files to your skins directory
and call it from a button you define in RR

Included is draw.skin a default skin to place the program in
(see screenshot below)

I made this with skinnability in mind

All graphics seen are customizable simply by changing the .jpgs

Colors of the text are also configurable from the file colors.txt included in zip as well

There are 2 zip files included below (one currently ill add the second)

Draw1.0.zip is the flash version that is alreaddy embed in RR with a .skin file
Draw1.0exe.zip is the standalone version but still relies on the external jpgs and colors.txt

EXE Version Wrapper written
pretty self explanitory

draw.exe has draw.ini and draw.swf as depenancies
EXTRACT ALL FILES TO THE SAME DIRECTORY

Draw.ini is only really neccisarry is running standalone
but can be useful to presize window to your prefered size

RR and CF i belive already do this on startup

I'll need some feedback on this as it is my 1st program so to say written in VB

Hi.
Thanks for the very nice application.
There is one problem though when this is embeded in RR. I'm using the .exe file which is embeded in an empty RR skin (no buttons). Once the app. is called, it embeds perfectly into the RR skin. The problem is that when pressing the "Close" button the application closes but the empty RR skin is still there and there is no way to close it and return to a previous screen. I know I can add an exit button on the RR skin but that would make the available screen area smaller. Is there anyway to make the application send an "exit" code to the RR skin so the application and the RR screen close and return to the previous screen or the main menu of RR?

Oh. and one other thing. Can the Preview text be made so we can change the color ?

use the exe but change the first line in colors.txt
runningasexe=false instead of true
that will make it send an exit command

i missed the preview sorry will update downloads and document the 1st post when i make the change

I tried what you suggested. When I know press the “Close” button nothing happens. Neither the application nor the skin close.

looks like if u want to run the exe you will need to run it with a close button
the swf button executed the exit command with no problem
seems because flash itself is not running the flash (the flashprojector is) the command doesnt get sent

maybe someone witha little more experience with flash and rr could chime in or else ill send guino or skippy a pm

The problem with running the .swf file is that I cannot load it from a different directory each time, in order to have different colors for DAY/NIGHT skins. I think that the flash movie has to be in the root RoadRunner directory in order to work in RoadRunner.

I tried this but the flash did not load up.
/, F, x, y, w, h, Movie name
F,0,0,839,478,"c:\program files\road runner\DrawDay\draw.swf"

This works OK, but I can have only one set of colors
/, F, x, y, w, h, Movie name
F,0,0,839,478,"draw.swf"

Nice little app.

couple of observations/requests

1. when you press the save button can it move to the next screen/file (have this as a user selectable maybe.
2. Can the buttons be done by keystrokes (then we can use sendkeys from RR)
3. Button size and place be user defineable.
4. Side panel size and placement be changed
