US Traffic Cams v1.0 Beta

Instructions
------------

Extract from the zip to your Road Runner (or any Front End) folder. Run
TCSearch to find the code to the cameras you want. Put those codes into
Trafficams.ini against cam1, cma2,cam3 etc. Then run Trafficams.exe. As
long as you have internet connection and the cosen cameras are operational
the camera pics should appear. Clicking on any pic will cause it to
maximize, clicking again will go back to normal.

To embed in RR simply create a skin with an Application box. A,x,y,h,w,192
and then a calling button

"load;traffic.skin;Traffic Cam;$rrpath$Traffic Cams.exe;Trafficams"

Future Of Traffic Cam

A central download location for the latest database.
One EXE for all countries, just different databases.

If you know of any sources on the web for cameras in your area then give me the link and I'll try and add them to the database.

Wow, looks great (With your default camera's

) I cant seem to find any camera's in my area, even though "FL - Palm Beach County" is in your list of supported cam's.

When I search for FL, I do not recognize any of the cities, they appear as though they could be English (England) city names.

For example searching for FL I get:

"Belgrave Flyover Leister"

Leister is not a city in Florida that I am aware of, any suggestions?

I tried various searches: West Palm Beach, West Palm, Palm, and various street names / intersections where camera's are located to no avail.

EDIT: I just tried Seattle as in your example above, and no listing show up. (Also, I Did run the .bat to register everything)

EDIT(x2): I have confirmed, that the database you included is indeed the one for England I did a search, using just the letter "S" and got the following results:

Looks like we need the United States version of the "TrafficCams.E4D" for this side of the pond

To help add to the database, Here are the camera images for West Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and all of Miami (Basically all of Southeast Florida) on this ONE PAGE Click on the Traffic Cams Tab, the page is in frames. All the cam's are standard JPG's and the names & locations do not change, so they will be very easy to add to the database.

I think you downloaded the wrong version.

Try downloading the US version.

Hopefully the cams above will help to add to the data base.

I did just get this, after downloading the US version:

It happened when the cams went to refresh. I could see a couple of them flicker, refreshing, then the error occurred.

Hmm.

What OS are you running (I have only tested on 2000 at the moment)?

Can you post your ini, and I'll try the same cameras here.

Edit, make sure you run the US version, not the UK version.

Hmm, apart from having the General section twice for some reason there should be nothing wrong with that.

I have tested it here and do not get any errors.

So it might either be your OS (which is . . . . . ?) or the way you connect to the internet.

Try the UK version, they are exactly the same program, just look for differently named Database files at the moment.
