Hi there, just wondering if anyone has tried phonecontrol with a LG U8110 or NEC e616 as i have tried both phones and i can't seem to get either to work, the display all comes up but when you manually dial the number it will not connect.

    Thanks,

    Doesn't look bad...

Two thing you have to do:
    1. Set <UseCNMI mode="2,1">... in your Config file
    2. Use the attached phonebook, copy it into your install directory and remove the ".txt" at the end (you might edit this as well)

Since you have a CDMA phone, you might try to set your <PhoneBookLocation....> to ME instead of SM. Possibly this is the setting to get your phonebook out of the phone.

One more thing: You should be waiting at least 20 seconds after start before yor make your first action within PhoCo. It seems that you've been impatient this time. The init didn't finish but you tried a call and shut it down already

BTW: When sending logfiles please use: phonecontrol at zoran-horvat.de, so you don't have to share private data with half of the net.... only with me

    PhoneControl and SprintPCS

i recently broke my samsung n400's lcd (cracked the lcd real bad so that i can't read anything on the screen) and i'm in the market for a new phone. the thing is i'm locked into this sprint deal for another year and a few months. can anyone suggest a sprint phone that works well with phonecontrol? any help would be greatly appreciated.

    bump.

if anyone knows anything about this, please help. i've searched more than a few times and i read that there is some hope for it to work but never a confirmation that any particular sprint phone does actually work.

Sorry I can't help, but my Samsung n400 also fell, and the screen fell right on a sharp 90 metal corner. It broke the cover, but not the LCD

I don't think *most* of the sprint lineup is compatable

I have the A500 and snapsync cable and it works on the manual dial and manual answer modes. Nothing else. Having read most of the threads here, it looks like thats all we're gonna get. I have the bluetooth headset connected to the phone and with it on I can answer calls, pickup, hangup, and manual dial. Thats it.

It would be great if it supported text messages like it does SMS, I'd be in heaven, but oh well, I'm waiting till JAN and getting the Sprint XDA III PPC phone clone next. Hope it has better interoperability.

Anyone tried the Samsung a630 (VGA 1000) with phonecontrol. That is the one I have and it is a pretty nice phone.
