It looks like BREW 2.0 and higher has an iPort class that provides access to the UARTS. I need to find if the CDMA modem can be pushed aside from serial 1 to allow a BREW app access to the port. I think the AT command set is set by the phone manufacturer i.e. LG in this case. They may have locked SIO1 so BREW has no privileges to the port. I wonder if the qualcomm chipset USB port is wired to the connector on my phone. That would help a lot. I guess I'll be taking my phone apart to look how the connections are on the PCB.

    oem bluetooth

It seems as though that the vehicles that have oem bluetooth (lexus, range rover etc..) has the ability to support cdma phones? What I have notice is that transfering the phone book is the only problem. What is it that they are using to be able to use cdma phones?

Man, I don't care about the phone book... I just want to be able to plug the USB cable in to my Sprint phone and then have CF pop-up and incomming call message with speaker phone answer button. Is this even possible over USB, or whould I have to wire up the head-set plug in order to get the audio to/from the PC?

Dead thread? Anything to get the CDMA to work? I have the LG VX8100. (Verizon) Anybody get one to work? I can't get anything, and nothing with hyperT.
I can get online with it and use the audio gateway, just can't get PhoCo to see it.

I managed to get my vx8100 to work... kindof... First off I used the com port assigned to the modem bt profile, not the serial port. also, you need to change the answer command from "A" to $QCCAV otherwise you the program will not answer incoming calls. This is done by adding the command to the LG (CDMA) section of the config file. See the documentation for details.

I also had a problem getting hyperterminal to work and had to go through a couple of terminal programs before I found one that would. The trial version of Indigo Terminal Emulator is what I'm using now.

Basically what I've gotten so far is the ability to dial and answer calls (not extensively tested). as others have posted, SMS does not work, and direct reading of phonebooks does not work. The battery and signal indicators don't work either, although the AT commands for signal quality (at+csq) and battery status (at+cbc) do return values. The program is able to tell when I'm receiving a call, but there isn't any information displayed about the incomming call. Basically phoneco is seeing the "ring" response from the modem... not much information there.

I'm also able to have a bt modem and bt audio gateway connections runnning simultaneously so i think it will work over my car's speakers.

I'll probably give it a go in the car at some point in the future.

good job momanz, but if all it can do is see that call is coming in, and dial then seems useless to me. too bad to; would be a nice thing to have working.
