OK didn't realise that. I was hoping it would mute when SMS received to alert me that I had received a message, or announce message received (from name in phonebook would be nice!). As you said it mutes OK when reading the message.

In the latest version of PhoCo (which I released today ) you can specifiy a ringtone when a SMS is incoming. Simply put the tag <SMStone>...</SMStone> into your config file in the MainWindow section and put a reference to a WAV-File into.

I've implemented this to support mobile phone modules but you may use this as well.

Let me see, what I can do.

This is rather a normal behaviour than a problem (or as they say: It's not a bug, it's a feature )

I'm working on it... theoretically, I can override it but I can't promise that it'll work on all phones.

So just give me a couple of hours

Thanks Zorro - that works fine, although it doesn't mute winamp when playing the sound, but I suppose I can't have everything

Many thanks for a great program

Hey danon - give zorro a chance. i only told him about it less than 2 hours ago. I expect it will take him another couple of minutes to rewrite the program LOL

Fixed that... but for me it sounds a bit strange cause the SMS ring tone isn't a repeating one... just try it, you'll see.

I've also implemented the storage of sent SMS. It works on my T610 (how surprisingly ) but I'd need some more testing with other brands.

All you have to do is to download the new binaries and put the tag
    <StoreSentSMS mode="3">True</StoreSentSMS>
    into your Communication section.
On the T610, mode="3" defines the SMS is to be stored in the "Sent messages" folder. If that doesn't work on your phone, try 0, 1 or 2 instead.

BTW: Telstar, did you try the Headset option with your 6230?

OK, it now mutes for a short while when receiving a SMS, but if for example I use a wav file of say 20 seconds, winamp will start playing again before the wav file has finished - that is both winamp and the wav will be playing. Not a big issue - I just wanted audio notification of a text message and this gives me that

Thanks Zorro, works fine on the 6230 with mode="3"
