Why not notifying the error on the PhoneCo window and keep searching for the COM port? (this is a common problem using BT serial devices)

    This is the case if you put your computer into Hybernate instead of turning it off. Once PhoCo has found a valid connection to the phone, it'l keep looking for it once it has been lost.

    I may consider to put your request on the list for the next release... but I wouldn't bet on it

    BTW: Drove through Genova a couple of days ago... why didn't you ask me straight
    I'm now anywhere near Siena

    K700i

    Just tried the software out and works fine.... well almost hehe

    Couple of question's

    When I goto manual dial it shows no numbers on the keypad

    You have some settings next to the k700i on the compatability page on your webby, what do these mean and where do I put them in?

    I cannot send sms or even show the SMS panel on Phonecontrol, can you tell me if the software supports sms on the 700.

    If I want to use the carpc as the headset is this easy? I have read previous posts, but my TDK Go Blue BT software is asking for a com port for the headset, what would I put this as?

    Very nice software though, and I'm going to try it out for a while, you can add the TDK go blue dongle to your list of supported devices, as it defo works

    I sent you a pm also,

    Hi,

    Zorro run away to Italy ( lucky bastard ) on holidays and I just set up my k700 this afternoon, so I will try my best.

    About the config, you have to edit the file PhoneCtl.Config.xml thats on the same folder that the executable is. You should add the relevant tags to the SonyEricsson section.

    Communication id="SonyEricsson">
    <Port>8</Port>
    <Setting>38400,N,8,1</Setting>
    <Vendor>SEK</Vendor>
    <Dial quote="False" terminate="True">D</Dial>
    <Hangup>H</Hangup>
    <PhoneBookLocation id="1" static="True" name="Phone" timeout="190">ME</PhoneBookLocation>
    <PhoneBookLocation id="2" static="True" name="Card" timeout="190">PB</PhoneBookLocation>
    <PhoneBookLocation id="3" static="False" name="Dialed" timeout="30" sorted="False" showDate="True">DC</PhoneBookLocation>
    <PhoneBookLocation id="4" static="False" name="Received" timeout="30" sorted="False" showDate="True">RC</PhoneBookLocation>
    <PhoneBookLocation id="5" static="False" name="Missed" timeout="30" sorted="False" showDate="True">MC</PhoneBookLocation>
    <UseCharset>8859-1</UseCharset>
    <UseClip mode="1">True</UseClip>
    <UseCRC mode="1">True</UseCRC>
    <UseCLCC>False</UseCLCC>
    <UseCNMI mode="2,1">True</UseCNMI>
    </Communication>
    This is my PhoneCtl.Config.xml and it works ok. Donīt forget to replace <Port>8</Port> with your own com port number.

    About the missing numbers, i think that you have to adjust the skin file. On the same configuration file, locate the string
    <UseDesign>Designs\PhoneCtl.Brushmetal.xml</UseDesign>
    . This file, PhoneCtl.Brushmetal.xml in my case, is the one you have to edit.
    Find there something like
    <Font>
    <Name>Tahoma</Name>
    <Size>15,75</Size>
    <Style>Regular</Style>
    <Color>White</Color>
    </Font>
    possibly under the DialPanelNumber section, and set the font size to a integer.

    Hope it helps..

    Glad to see that it's working without me

    For the K700i please don't forget to reset the <Vendor> as described on my website and make sure you have the latest version.

    Sunny greetings from Rome

    BTW: Next year it's gonna be Portugal
